Louis Vuitton Sucks. Here's Why:

Ten reasons why Louis Vuitton is rubbish by Pretty Ugly Magazine.

1. Louis Vuitton bags look UGLAY, horrid, and dont match with clothing.

2. Louis Vuitton bags look cheap. Maybe because you can buy a copy in any market near you.

3. Louis Vuitton bags arent cool because WAGS think they are cool. nb. Victoria Beckham.

4. Louis Vuitton is owned by the same group that own Moet et Chandon and Hennessy. Those arent bad , but maybe with all that revenue , Louis Vuitton might be able to dish out some discounts on ugly suitcases. LVMH are just so damn greedy.

5. Louis Vuitton shamelessly employ celebs to promote the brand instead of actually designing products that are fashionable. Sofia Ford Coppola has recently proved herself as the next Christian Dior by ingeniously suggesting that LV incorporate mirrors into their handbags. (So What - they still look shit.)

6. Louis Vuitton once employed Andre Agassi to promote themselves.

7.Louis Vuitton bags really waste Marc Jacobs talent. (Designing a print made from a pre designed logo isnt really 'designing' - its stealing.)

8. Louis Vuitton - only for white people??? - Do you remember that cringe worthy moment in Sex in the City Movie, where the token black girl is rewarded with her 'Very Own Louis Vuitton Bag'? The loyal Mamie role is endowed with a Louis Vuitton bag, so that she no longer has to rent one. How stereotypical.

9. Louis Vuitton banned the Britney Spears video 'Do Something', for featuring an 'illegal' car emblazoned with the LV logo. Unforgivable.

10. Louis Vuitton steals from the poor. In Feb 2008, Louis Vuitton sued Danish artist Nadia Plesner for copying their logo. The artist had created T-Shirts in order to raise money for the crisis in Darfur. The T-Shirts featured a starving child holding a Louis Vuitton handbag. Plesner ignored Louis Vuitton's letter, and posted it on her website. For every day that Plesner continued to sell her 'Simple Living' T - Shirts, Louis Vuitton charged her $7,500 dollars. In addition the company have demanded the artist pay for the legal fees incurred plus an additional $15,000 dollars.

Louis Vuitton probably make most of their revenue from suing people as only 1% of all Louis Vuitton products sold, are real.

Vivienne Westwood

Wrinkles Galore. 2008's most unlikely couple award goes to Vivienne Westwood and Pamela Anderson. Marie Claire magazine has recently reported that Westwood is set to sign the Baywatch star as the face of her fashion house, in a 6 million pound deal.

Didnt see that one coming, did you?

JOURDAN DUNN named Model of the Year

JOURDAN DUNN is Britains latest rising fashion icon. The 19 year old model was recently named
Fashion Model of the year by the British Fashion Council.

The model caused havoc in Spring 2008, when she was featured in Prada's latest collection. She is the first black model to be featured in years.

Discovered in 2006 whilst shopping in Primark, the model thanked the British Fashion Council for nominating her for the award.

Dunn is seen as a symbol of a new shift towards ethnic diversity on the catwalks. The shift has been supported by designers like Katherine Hamnett.

Gareth Pugh

For those of you interested in Goth Fashion this season, we bring you British designer Gareth Pugh. Check out his latest designs. Part Manson, Part architectural feat. Pugh is one british designer that isnt going anywhere soon.

At 14, Pugh began working as a costume designer for the English National Youth Theatre.[4] He started his fashion education at City of Sunderland College and finished his degree in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins in 2003.[2] His final collection at St. Martins, which used balloons to accentuate models' joints and limbs (a technique that would become one of his trademarks), attracted that attention of the senior fashion editor of Dazed & Confused magazine, who placed one of his designs on the magazine's cover shortly thereafter.[3] Pugh was selected to participate in British reality show The Fashion House two months after his graduation,[3] which he would later call "horrible" and his "only other option [to being on] the dole."[5] The rise of !WOWOW!, a feature in Dazed & Confused, and a debut show at London club Kashpoint's Alternative Fashion Week brought Pugh to the attention of Fashion East "London's breeding ground for cutting-edge new talent," leading them to invite Pugh to participate in its Autumn 2005 group show.[6] Pugh had only four weeks, with no studio, no assistants, and little money, to create the collection.[3] His collection ended up a critical success and attracted significant attention to his designs.[5]

Pugh's solo premiere was in London's Fall 2006 fashion week; he has since showed his Spring 2007 and Autumn 2007 collections there.[7][4][8] Pugh's shows have continued to draw critical praise. British Vogue, for instance, called his Spring 2007 collection "an incredible, unmissable show" and said that "his genius is undeniable."[9] Anna Wintour is a notable supporter of Pugh's designs.[3]

Kylie Minogue has used many of Pugh's designs over the recent years, most famously in her Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour and Showgirl - The Homecoming Tour and Róisín Murphy recently appeared flamboyantly sporting one of Pugh's distinctive outfits in the videoclip promoting her 2007 album Overpowered [1], and on the cover of her single Let Me Know. Minogue has been seen wearing the same dress in her 2008 video for her single In My Arms. Recently singer Beyonce has been seen wearing some of Pugh's designs on stage.

SEX IN THE CITY CAUSES TEEN PREGNANCY

Teenagers who watch Sex in the City, Friends and other TV shows featuring sex scenes and discussions of sex are far more likely to get pregnant or get someone else pregnant than their peers, a new study has found.

The study, which tracked more than 700 sexually active teenagers aged between 12 and 17 for three years, discovered that those who viewed the most sexual content were almost twice as likely to get pregnant or get their girlfriend pregnant as those who saw the least explicit TV.

....Um - WHATEVS. We think that Sex is probably more likely to cause Teen Pregnancy, not Sex in the City.

PS. We are loving Sarah J's outfit, pictured above.

Perry does 10 outfits at the MTV Awards

Minus, 'I Kissed A Girl' we think Katy Perry's music is a bit shitty. Saying that, this week, we are loving her style getup. She wowed MTV audiences with 10 different outfits. Including, and Obama Dress, An American Football Uniform, and an out fit that was half mens suit, half dress, literally. We also are loving that cupcake handbag (pictured). You might recognize it, from such movies, like Sex in the City Movie. Remember when Carrie got jilted, coz her phone was cruelly hidden by Charlotte's newly adopted daughter?

Check out the rest of Katy Perry's outfits at www.dailymail.com

Very flamboyant.

Mr. Pearl

Mr. Pearl a.k.a Mark Pullin is somewhat of an enigma. And rightly so. Devoid of internet and mobile phones, Mr. Pearl describes himself as;

“a designer who employs the corset and lacings into his designs. I am not a corsetier - I have not attained that specialized knowledge. There are only about five left in the whole world now, who possess that art. I hope one day to be amongst them”

Rather than work independently, Mr. Pearl operates on request. Those in the line for demand, include Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano. He has also made corsets for the likes of Dita Von Teese and controversially Kylie Minogue

The pint size singer supposedly claimed that her corset reduced her waist size to 16” but considering that the smallest waist on record is that of 13” this was later proven to be untrue.

As Mr Pearl reveals in an interview with Mistress Angel Stern;

“the waist-size magic-number is eighteen. Any number below eighteen becomes extremely potent - yes I would say magical. The smallest I have known is thirteen, so the numbers between 13 and 18 are very potent, each denoting some ultimate point.”

Mister Pearl corsets himself. This was a practice previously undertaken in the 18th century by men. Mister Pearl firmly ties his fascination with corsetry to discipline. The corsetier has slept in corsets for the last 11 years and insists

‘It's essential. Essential. In order to achieve any significant waist reduction.’

Before botox, tummy tucks and boob jobs, there was corsetry. Body modification is hardly a new phenomena. However it remains to be seen whether this is a continued art form or the latest attempt of simulacra.
