JOURDAN DUNN is Britains latest rising fashion icon. The 19 year old model was recently named
Fashion Model of the year by the British Fashion Council.

The model caused havoc in Spring 2008, when she was featured in Prada's latest collection. She is the first black model to be featured in years.

Discovered in 2006 whilst shopping in Primark, the model thanked the British Fashion Council for nominating her for the award.

Dunn is seen as a symbol of a new shift towards ethnic diversity on the catwalks. The shift has been supported by designers like Katherine Hamnett.

Placebo played a historical gig today, at the first ever rock gig at Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The concert took place to raise awareness of human trafficking.

Since 2005, lead singer Brian Molko has married and had a son named Cody.

M.I.A. will actually be missing in action as of the 8th of Feb. The singer/ songstress is due to gove birth on the 8th - the same day she is nominated for a Grammy.

Marilyn Manson has aquired a new girlfriend, following his recent break up from Evan Rachel Wood. Thankfully his new 'lady friend' is not a child actor or pornstar. Rather un-controversially, Manson, a musician accompanied 24 year old model, Isani, whilst at the Miami Art Basel. She is a cross between Wood and Dita, with a little extra height.

The relationship would also explain painting's featuring a blue eyed girl, widely thought to be Evan Rachel Wood, but entitled Isani.

She seems really boring and really mainstream, but thats probably what Manson aka Brian Warner needs right now.

It is likely the pair knew each other before Wood and Manson got together.

His exhibition included a Hitler painting, which was created in homage to Dali's destroyed works that featured the dictator Hitler.

Manson attended the event to promote his art exhibition, 'Trismegistus'.

Is his art work good, or is he suffering a midlife crisis?

Last but not least, Love admits she wore a $32 dress to the 2004 grammys in order to piss of Donatella Versace, who refused to loan Love a dress.

She denies any romantic involvement as well.

The incident happened when a host of celebrities were stripped searched at an airport in Dubai. They had been invited to the opening of the the hotel Atlantis, in Dubai. The incident came as a response to Dubai's strict drugs policies. Other celebs include fiance, Albert Hammond Jr. and Lily Allen. We love Dita Von Teese, but has anyone noticed, she seems to sue alot of people.
The burlesque star's latest lawsuit comes amongst allegations that photos of her were used on a book cover without her consent.
Dita is seeking unspecified damages for the use of her photo on a paranormal novel called 'Twilight's Shadow'. The lawsuit is against Macmillian Publishers.
You may remember earlier in the year, when Teese sued someone over a broken, giant swan she has especially made for her.

THREE HOURS LATER I GET A KNOCK AT MY HOTEL DOOR. THERE WERE FIVE POLICE OFFICERS IN FRONT OF MY ROOM AND I HAD NO IDEA WHY. I HAD MY SECURITY GO SPEAK WITH THEM. THE COPS WERE VERY CORDIAL BUT TOLD ME THEY HAD TO ARREST ME BECAUSE A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THAT WAS THE BOGUS PART. THEY PLACED ME IN HANDCUFFS AND DROVE ME TO THE STATION. THEY SPOKE ABOUT HOW THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY A PUBLICITY STUNT BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER BUT THEY STILL HAD TO GO THOUGH THE MOTIONS. WHEN I GOT BACK TO THE HOTEL THERE WERE PAPARAZZI HANGING OVER THE BRIDGE ABOVE THE HOTEL TRYING TO GET A SHOT OF ME GETTING OUT THE POLICE VAN. EVEN THOUGH I WASN'T CHARGED, THE DAMAGE WAS DONE. SURE ENOUGH THE NEXT MORNING, PLASTERED ACROSS EVERY MEDIA OUTLET… KANYE GETS ARRESTED. IT DIDN'T MATTER THAT I WASN'T CHARGED OR THE FACT THAT I HADN'T ASSAULTED ANYONE. ALL THAT MATTERED WAS THAT I WAS ARRESTED.

SIDEBAR, THEY QUOTED ME AS SAYING…"GET THE CAMERA OFF HIM!" LIKE I WAS TALKING IN THIRD PERSON. HE TRIED TO MAKE ME SOUND LIKE A CRAZY PERSON AND PEOPLE BELIEVED HIM. WHAT MERIT DOES THIS GUY HAVE THAT HE CAN SAY SOMETHING ABOUT ME AND PEOPLE TAKE IT AS LAW? THE FACT THAT HE COULD GET ME ARRESTED OFF A MERE COMPLAINT BUT I CAN'T ASK HIM TO STOP TAKING PICTURES OF ME IS VERY LOPSIDED.

Teenagers who watch Sex in the City, Friends and other TV shows featuring sex scenes and discussions of sex are far more likely to get pregnant or get someone else pregnant than their peers, a new study has found.

The study, which tracked more than 700 sexually active teenagers aged between 12 and 17 for three years, discovered that those who viewed the most sexual content were almost twice as likely to get pregnant or get their girlfriend pregnant as those who saw the least explicit TV.

....Um - WHATEVS. We think that Sex is probably more likely to cause Teen Pregnancy, not Sex in the City.

It isn’t an animal, vegetable or object. It is however, a cultural phenomenon that plagues youthful western society.

Myspace is known for many things, namely spreading the gospel of ‘Emo’ , causing party ‘house rape’ in County Durham and propelling unknown bands into the limelight of success.

Myspace is also the latest acquisition of media baron, Rupert Murdoch.
Reputedly, the online community was bought for $580 million. Quite a considerable amount, considering it was started my two graduates from the University of California.

MySpace’ is successful because it harbours a sense of individualism for every owner of a myspace.It was a favorite teenage haunt, because, it was unpoliced, music based and a place to be oneself. However, this freedom of expression is precisely what will be taken away when MySpace China is launched, forums on religon and politics will be left out of the design. However, on the flip side, companies will be able to corner a potential market of over 1 billion people.


So what do bands make of such a change?

Upon questioning bands on such a topic, around 95% did not reply. One can only assume this was either because the band was too busy, not directly linked to their MySpace or genuinely shocked that their piece of ‘independent’ marketing was in fact part of a much larger corporate machine.

The ones that did were keen to point out that MySpace was only a promotional tool and not a reflection of their band. For example, unsigned Punk band ‘The Restarts’ admit that without MySpace, many of their overseas fans would not be reached;

‘To boycott myspace would be similar to boycotting the telephone company and never using your phone again...It would make life alot tougher.’………. ‘The Fact that Murdoch now owns it doesnt remove the practicality or convenience of it....it just puts a bad feeling in your gut!’

Suprisingly, a study released from comScore Media Metrix has found that more than half of MySpace users are now 35 or older. Suggesting that myspace is no longer a teen community. In fact only 11.9% of myspace members fall within the 12 – 17 age range. By leaving behind its teenage image, Myspace now captures an audience a higher spending market. And as Bill Gates predicted, it proves ‘the internet is becoming the town square of the global village of tomorrow.’

The “independent music” scene has undoubtedly benefited from myspace, and has changed the way a band reaches its audience. It has also spawned a lot of
‘crap bands’, as one music critic suggested. Controversially it could be argued that NME has been pulling the same stunt for years. Although the news of the Murdoch takeover is enough to putrefy the ears off of bands who claim to be truly independent, I am yet to see a mass exodus of independent or signed bands from MySpace. The reason being, that bands need MySpace to succeed. By ‘selling out’, they can sell more records. So perhaps Murdoch is onto a winner.

Myspace is trying to roll all the best bits of other websites into one by launching video platforms similar to YouTube. It cannot however, compete with Facebook, a much safer website that only allows users to view pictures and profiles once they have been added as a friend. The war is on, as Facebook has recently lashed back, and added new details similar to those on myspace or ebay, such as, ilike, marketplace and horoscope applications

Alexa Internet declares that MySpace is the fifth most popular English Website in the world. Whether Myspace is set for world domination is yet to be seen. Keeping up to date is the key. Anyway, as one person tells me apparently the ‘new Facebook. Is now Facebox’.

Perhaps we should boycott myspace, internet friends and a false sense of society and go and make some real life friends. In the words of Frank Zappa:
